GoFundMe

Earlier this year, now, eight-year-old Drake was diagnosed with Difuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a terminal brain tumor. All he wants for Christmas is Christmas cards(address in link below). Send away. After consulting with a few friends we decided that while the cards will bring him a ton of joy, maybe we can do a little more. I then contacted his mother and got permission to do this. This GoFundMe is set up to send Drake, his parents, and 2 siblings to Disney World as soon as possible. All proceeds will go directly towards funding this vacation for Drake and his family. Any amount large or small will help. Let's make this hero's days Magical!

Also, while speaking with his mother, she informed me that someone from Serve Pro contacted her and they may be sending them to the Fiesta Bowl.

Let's see the power of Tigerdroppings put to use and make this little Tiger's life magical.

Update: in 48 hours we have raised $15,389 by 361 people. It is looking like Drake and his family will be going on an all expenses paid 6 night stay at Give The Kids The World Village/Disney starting on 1/12/19. He will get to skip all the lines for everything and be first in line to meet all the charcters.
Also, thanks to another GFM campaign, he will be going to the Fiesta Bowl, an NBA game, and an NHL game. He will be the Fiesta Bowl MVP as well as the Fiesta Bowl Parade MVP! Drake will truly be living the dream the next couple of months. Thank you all for the shares and contributions.

Fiesta Bowl GFM
Between the 2 GFM campaigns, over $22,000 has been raised so far thanks to Tigerdroppings, UCF fans, and generous people across the country.

Now this is certainly something we can all get behind and get Drake to Disney World!

If we got some billboards erected around Birmingham, we can get this tough little guy to Disney World.

DIPG is maybe the worst word a parent can hear regarding their child's health. It's one of the very few things that modern medicine hasn't been able to even make a dent in the survival rates or prognoses

quote:

For example, the survival rate for children with acute lymphocytic leukemia has increased from less than 10 percent in the 1960s to nearly 90 percent today. Overall, the survival rate for children with cancer is around 83 percent.

quote:

A child diagnosed with DIPG today faces the same prognosis as a child diagnosed 40 years ago. There is still no effective treatment and no chance of survival. Only 10% of children with DIPG survive for 2 years following their diagnosis, and less than 1% survive for 5 years. The median survival time is 9 months from diagnosis.

Everybody give your kids an extra hug tonight
