Didn't he have incredible authority over these decisions in Miami, too? He'll never jump again. Saban's legacy in the college game was built on a massive talent advantage. To his credit, he created that. In a league that values parity where the other team's 22 are just as talented as Saban's, he's an average coach.

He didn't know that when he left LSU, but he sure does now.
