I think the point is that a well coached team not only handles loss well and keeps the team together, but they keep them focused and grounded after a big win.

I don't see a let down at all. It's actually a great game to have after a huge win. There is no way coaches and players aren't fired up to play this game. We owe State a serious beat down.

Of course he gets credit for last week. He and his staff coached circles around Kirby and his staff. Huge win and clearly a step in the right direction.

That's kind of how this works. He's never accomplished anything of note as a head coach, thus he needs to prove he is leading our program in the right direction. If he can pull of a 10 win regular season I'd say he's got this thing on the right path. A season's success is judged at the end of the season, not in October.

Who isn't giving o credit for last weeks impressive win? I haven't seen any posts so far this past week where o hasn't received the praise and credit that he deserves after the Georgia game.

LSU is an elite program. That means Orgeron is the head coach of an elite program.

Yes. He constantly has to prove himself.

Until he shows he can guide a team to elite / SEC / playoff championship caliber of play, he gets very little slack.

Heavy hangs the head, my man. You want to coach at the biggest schools against the biggest of the big boys? You have to prove that you're worth it.

I was just getting ready to post the same thing.

Every week it's "if O wins this one then he is the right man to lead LSU. But then every subsequent week it is the same narrative.
