The LSU administration has exactly the fan base they’ve asked for in the stadium

Since at least the early 2000s they’ve publicly, consistently valued big wallets over loyalty.

Now they want to cry about lack of loyalty when people would rather stay home and watch on TV or leave at halftime. I have less than zero sympathy.

People need to stop making excuses for the people who leave early. It’s embarrassing.

They're also getting exactly what they want out of that Blockparty set up.

It was better than I thought it would be in the first half. Honestly, with a blowout game in the rain, I’ve seen worse.

This describes EVERY major college team. There is no way to be competitive in the 'arms race' if you don't do this.

The question is, "why do these big-wallet LSU fans leave early when other team's big-wallet fans don't leave early?"

I agree that LSU has not helped attendance. However Ole Miss was one of if not THE cheapest priced SEC ticket at $50. Even State is more at $55.

Na that’s a lame excuse, I agree when they refused to remove Miles or make him change.

But now, they improved the product on the field. And the piped in music, every school is doing that now. What else you wanna complain about??

Alleva should still be fired though

My perception is that fans used to go for a football game with some partying (tailgating) on the side. Now, “fans” go for a party with (part of) a football game on the side. It’s not just LSU, though.

Honestly, I. See no problem with people leaving a game at midnight when victory is assured and it has been raining for several hours.

Look...... I'm so tired of you people crying about the corporate environment in the stadium

You scream at the mountain tops for wanting an elite program..... That costs money..... Revenue must be generated

It's like you fricking idiots can't understand how business works.

You want tickets to cost $10? You want a $1 hot dog? Then LSU will have the resources that match the revenue. And at that point, we'd be Southern Miss.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time because some of you are smart enough to understand. And apparently, the OP is one of those people

The main reason is people drive in from all over the state.

They leave early to get an early start back to where they came from.

This is a drawback to night games rather than day games. Of course during a day game the heat will clear out the west side of the stadium in a hurry.

I may have had some drinks, but its always the big money fans on the 50 that leave.

Those yellow lower bowl seats are ALWAYS empty.

The endzones looked full last night.

You people need to clean the sand out of your vagina's and get over it. If you don't like what people do with the seats they pay good money for, Buy the tickets and give them to people who will stay the entire game.

It's like someone let a bunch of spoiled 3 year olds on tRant with this incessant whining about the stadium.

Tickets were cheap man, I sat in the stadium club for $105 a ticket. I’m not sure what you expect to pay but the prices are pretty much the same across the SEC.

There were $30-$40 tickets available for this game. That too “corporate” for you? Stop with the tired “pricing out the real fans” excuse.

Who is “they” ? I haven’t heard anyone from TAF publicly complain about fans leaving early .

I don’t think the LSU administration is crying at all ....

I think the fans are crying and they may have some validity to their argument.

Would the athletic department prefer fans stay? Definitely. Are they crying that they are leaving? Not really.

They are making more money than ever.
