Thanks for being honest. I still have liberal friends and like you most are unsure of where their party is going. Fwiw they voted for Hillary but wanted Bernie Sanders as their candidate. I just hope we as a country can get past this divide.

You sound like a JFK Democrat. Unfortunately I believe that your party has left you. It has become (in my mind)a party obsessed with Power. The Power that is now offered by the US Government is like "feeding the Gremlins after midnight" It has made them Monsters. The only way that they can get voters to keep them in Power is to Divide along whatever lines seem expeditious at that time, and pit one side against another.
Good luck on regaining your Party of old.
By the way -- today JFK would be a right-of-center Republican.
