I know there have been so many topics about an empty stadium since the LATECH game on Saturday.

I was the proud owner of season tickets for 16 years. I looked forward to going to the games all week no matter the opponent. I didn't renew my tickets this season for ONE reason...who wants to sit in a half empty stadium?

It all starts with the student section. You can't have a great crowd without a great student section. The students started leaving earlier every year, and now they start bailing at half time no matter what.

It sure was fun while it lasted...2000-2017...great times.

as well as the rest of the stadium, sadly including the infamous south endzone

You have to go back a heck of a lot further than this recent era.

LSU fans of the 50's, 60's, and 70's were second to none. The LSU and Death Valley reputation for intimidation was established by these fans.

Today's fans and I am one, are a pale comparison to those who came before us.

Am I the only that sees the irony in this statement.

The good news is that our biggest games this year will be at 2:30, so the rush to leave won't be an issue.

Reduce the security and let them have their bourbon TD showers again.

You can go back and read quotes from Southern Cal players who came to Tiger Stadium in the 70's and the fear they admit to feeling playing here.

Ara Parseghian of Notre Dame said the atmosphere in Death Valley was so intense that he would NEVER bring another team to Baton Rouge.

We're nothing like that in 2018. No one is afraid to play here.

The game experience in TS sucks today.

There are bright arse lights flashing, crappy music, EXPENSIVE F&D's and a 4 hour game. It looks more like a casino or Disney attraction than a college football stadium.

In the 80's and 90's, we could leave Lafayette at noon or later and park on the lawn at Locket. Now, the whole experience is a damn shite show from parking to post game traffic. The more the powers at be get involved, the worse it gets.

Me. I’d much rather be the only fricker in there than sit in a huge crowd. frick crowds.

Yet another “the fans are leaving! The fans are leaving!” thread, from a poster with around 200 posts.

Suspicious? Nah.....

Totally agree with the OP. There are about 30 hours a YEAR in which we actually have a game going on in Tiger Stadium. I totally don’t get it why everybody leaves. It is a disgrace. I also think the student section has become lame, and their leaving indicates a lack of interest because most either live on campus or live nearby so beating the traffic is not the issue. Tiger Stadium’s legend was made going back to the 50’s and 60’s; and our fans have grown spoiled, soft and lazy.

How the frick can you make a post complaining about others going to the game when you don’t even go??

You sum up the majority of people who bitch on this site.
