Does anyone find it funny the crazy amount of self promotion of the program this offseason on the teams social media
If there is one thing she’s great at it’s she knows “how to play the game”

Since they coach sports nobody cares about, they can fly under the radar and LSU can stay on the cheap. Women's basketball is far more high profile & the fans expect accountability.

I don't understand why LSU would pay any women's basketball coach even close to $1m per year. Fargas is one of the top 4 paid SEC Women's coaches. I'd pay someone mid-range amongst SEC coaches and cut my losses. Don't know how many years Fargas has on her contract, but wouldn't cut her loose until it expires. Last thing you want to do is to be paying 2 women basketball coaches since its a million dollar plus losing effort regardless.

We embarrassingly only signed one kid last fall, Monet Jones
She was removed from the team this summer due to “personal issues” I posted a thread about it last month
Now we resorted to juco kids

Recruiting, she was one of the most important for any sports program at LSU. Problem is, girls like her and Fowles aren't coming because Fargas sucks.
She can't even keep the girls she does sign.

She didn't when first hired. I get it, family comes first, but then you don't deserve the money for the job you won't do to the best of your ability.

There is no rational reason to extend the contract of a coach that should be fired.
This is unbelievably irresponsible IMO.
NF getting a contract extension is WORSE than anything Alleva has done up to this point.

Alleva has now basically stated by extending her that he doesn’t give two shits about the program and just gave a middle finger to the fan base and the boosters of the program
If he’s fine with being content with being irrelevant then drop her salary, she’s not doing what she was paid to do. If she doesnt like her reduced salary she can find another job. I guarantee though that it would be a downgrade from LSU. No big school is going to hire her

Need to look at Schafer's associate HC at State. Vic and her are stockpiling talent and coaching them. They have taken State from the worst program in the SEC into one of the top programs in the country. They lose 4 starters off of last years team and probably will win the SEC & be a final four team again this year.
