Arm strength is overrated compared to touch, reading defenses, mechanics, etc. Drew Brees has one of the weakest arms in the NFL and he may go down as the best qb in the NFL ever.
Joe Montana too. There's so much more to being a successful QB than just having a rocket for an arm.

Rumor has it that at his birth his mother’s placenta was football shaped with laces out. His skin was purple, his hair gold. He burst through like a neo all American.

You can't teach mental toughness or composure. They either have it...or they don't. Throwing tight spirals with high velocity looks good in practice and warm-ups and gets the attention of NFL scouts. Ball placement leads to high completion %, YAC, moves chains, scores TD's, and wins games. Knowing when to run is a millisecond decision and being late or indecisive is the difference between + yards and - yards.

Seeing the 3rd/4th receiver open takes enough balls to check past the first 2. Hitting receivers in stride would be good. We havent seen either in a loooong time. Maybe next weekend...

Ya Myles looks like an NFL qb n warmups & 7 on 7 drills. But With the pocket caving in can he stay poised and hit that 2nd read ? Or that check down. I think he will but needs more reps. I’m a perfect world Burrow is the guy and does well along with staying healthy. Brennan can get more than a series here and there like last year. Up to 4 games is plenty of live reps. That should be enough to help with his confidence in the pocket

We will suck if any of that is true. Still blows my mind we didn't sign a QB.

And lol at people trying to downgrade Brees to prop up a college QB. One of the best ever to play. Brains will explode when we lose.

Dumb statement. Ensminger has been the qb coach for these guys during one camp season. And tbh compared to the media footage from last year it’s obvious to me E is better than Canada when it comes to coaching qbs

I'll take a Matt Mauck, Matt Flynn look alike and if that is Burrow, we got a shot.

I’ve been to a scrimmage and many practices. Brennan has improved dramatically and throws a much better ball .Burrow is just a game manager with adequate arm and a better grasp of where to,go with the ball via presnap reads w SE harps on. Burrow is much more aware of the rush and keeps his head downfield extending many plays with his feet. JB will no doubt start but MB could be the guy by mid season . The other two were right to go because they were both way behind. I’m ready for Dallas

So I was right in saying that hes Etling 2.0?

Strong arms worked out well for #6. It's not how hard you throw it, it is where you throw it and when you throw it, and who to throw it to. We need someone to know what the hell they are doing and be accurate with the football. Burrow will be just fine.

That was his sophomore spring game this years game he put another clinic on and easily won the day compared to the other two. Which is why so many Ohio State fans flocked to LSU sites saying he should have been the starter. Kid may not have a rocket like Haskins or a Brennan but the is 100% gamer and will ball out as he settles in

Thank you for the link. That looks very promising. Accuracy, eyes downfield, and a quick release. That offense seemed to hum with Burrow taking snaps. Hopefully he's the type of pocket QB that Ensminger can thrive calling plays for.

He has the football intelligence of Peyton Manning, the arm of Jamarcus Russell, the quickness of Mike Vick and the looks of Jimmy G

I’m just happy to hopefully finally see LSU with a decent Qb since Mettenberger.... alot of wasted years have gone by with meaningless results as far as Qb play....not taking anything away from Etling, he played his arse off last year but after him the cupboard was bare....coaches and fans knew it, saw it, thus the emergence of Burrow.... time will tell....to be continued.....
