If McMillan is #1, we are in for a long, long season.

They are rotating all the QBs every scrimmage, who is 1st, 2nd, etc means nothing right now

Which is stupid. There's absolutely no way that this isn't a 2 man race right now between McMillan and Burrow. They're wasting time because we all know Brennan and Narcisse have no shot at the job this year.

What happens if they have to play? You rather they be totally unprepared?

WWLTV's episode of Fourth down on 4 last night focused on LSU QB raced. Doug Mouton said-

"Brennan is the clear favorite to start LSU's opener against Miami"

Not true. I was on my high school's competitive power walking team. There was hand to hand combat involved.

And I know exactly what he's doing. I just think it's a waste of time when we all know what he's going to do anyway.

I disagree.

One issue with Miles that I think was a significant contributor to QB development was the lack of BOTH practice and game reps for the 2nd string QB.

Even more than having a backup ready for emergency, they need to look to a year or more down the road.

If there is a lopsided (by far) focus on the starter, for that year, almost every year you are starting from square 1.

The evidence is in front of us, because it damn sure seemed that way. Spring and summer camps are for just that. Now two weeks from the opener, it is a different story. But even then, you are then working on keeping #2 ready for backup duties.

Don't be surprised if another QB starts and Burrow comes in on the third or so series. We don't know what Orgeron "guaranteed" to any of the returning quarterbacks in order to keep them from transferring.

Because our coach is, literally, a retarded person. If Burrow isn’t taking first team reps over the garbage we have now, why the frick did we recruit him? If McMillan starts against Miami, clearly Orgeron doesn’t care about the season or his job

Let me guess.... I bet you read the article right?

You know the one that says.... that the QBs are going to be rotating for the first couple weeks on who gets the 1st team reps?

Also, genius (all American junior high football guy) it’s the first damn day. God you people are retarded.

Solid post. Much more substantive than the drive by posts.

I hope you're right. We'll see.
