Bump

Looking to pick up a pellet grill this weekend. Anyone with a wifi Green Mountain? Not sure the wifi is worth the extra $$$, otherwise it seems like the Camp Chef is the best bang for the buck.

I don't think it's worth it. Reviews aren't great on that functionality. But the smokers are fantastic.

I would not pay for WiFi. You are not going to change temps that often. That's the best part of a pellet grill. Turn it on and come back later. I have the smallest Traeger but want a Rec Tec. Should have jumped on the red ones a few months ago for $900

I have the Jim Bowie...stainless lid and wifi. Is the wifi worth the extra money? Meh...it was fun to play with initially and in the app you can build profiles for several different meats. But I don't use it anymore (wifi w/ app).

I would say if you're into building an entire profile for your meats you'd probably like it. I'm always trying different techniques and rubs and temps and pellet flavors that the profiles are useless for me.
