Once you've thought about it can you maybe share some ideas on where your training may have been off or what race mishaps may have happened to that lead to a time slower than your goal / time you thought you were prepared for.
I'm not Pedro and I fell apart way worst than him and didn't even get a respectable time while falling apart, but:
I think I'm switching to the Jack Daniels 2Q instead of Pfitz for my next marathon. By then I will have done even more insane milage weeks because of 100 training.
Pfitz has been great for boosting my running economy, but I don't think my endurance has been boosted even close to the same level as my running economy (I've gone from an estimated 49 vo2 max to 53 the last 7 months, but my endurance score really hasn't changed that much, and I've noticed my faster stuff getting easier but marathon pace not quite the same, even though it is easier, just not as extreme)
I will also pick better marathons, if someone dies at your marathon you are probably running a trash marathon...

Question for all of yall more experienced runners- I felt fine- surprisingly after the half on Saturday and yesterday as well.
But today- for the love of all things- I’m exhausted as all get out.
Is delayed exhaustion a thing??
For what it’s worth, I’m 50 and this is the first half I’ve run in a few years.
My long runs don’t wear me out so am I just a huge whiney arse or is there some type of post race crash that affects old ppl like myself?
