What would you do if you were Mayor of baton rouge or governor of Louisiana?

Sharon Weston Broome and JBE deservedly get trashed on, but give me your ideas or solutions to make Louisiana a better place if you had their power of office.

- Push to legalize and tax marijuana. All tax proceeds go to school system.
- Food stamps could only be used for healthy food and drinks
- Overhaul TOPS to increase GPA and require in-state employment of some sort post graduation
- Get rid of state constitution
- Transparency of where all tax revenue is going
- Close down 2-3 colleges
- End bussing
- Invest savings in infrastructure and education

Build a lazy river around the Governor's mansion and just ride around on a tube all day. Also, there would be snoballs.

As Governor of La:
1) Call for a constitutional convention.
2) Abolish Louisiana State Income Tax.
3) Reorganize School System into ISD's.
4) Call NTTA or HCRTA to implement a tollway system to advance infrastructure.
5) Raise TOPS requirements.
6) Keep LSU / UNO / LaTech / ULL / ULM open as 4 year Universities.
7) Start stop and frisk in NBR and NOLA.
8) End Medicaid expansion.
9) Offer lucrative tax breaks to companies looking to establish distribution centers. Then make the move to Tech based firms (This would be a 5-10 year process as the population becomes smarter due to better school system).
10) Allow the legalization of Marijuana.

Now that is logical and using common sense. I want a leader to step up and take on these issues and not give in to lobbyists and other politicians.

Governor: eliminate TOPS, eliminate Dept. Of Administration. Institute a toll on all non-interstate bridges over the River. Raise gas tax by 10 cents. Fire all State Police higher administration and hire new people with no ties to LOS.
Mayor: this is more difficult. Mayor of BR is not just the head of the City. It's head of the Parish. It's the only city Mayor in EBR that doesn't have to reside in city limits. Only parish limits.
You have to run a city and parish. You have to look at the needs of both.
This requires a lot of thought.

I would create a diversity division of the government, and hire Helmet head, Kibbles, and Gary to be the directors.
