I have the same model. It’s about a year old and the freezer stopped working last week. All I did was unplug the fridge for about 5 mins and it started working again.

Control board failure. You can also cycle the revision mode on the board. Sometimes it accidentally runs the wrong software and you need to change out back. Though this is usually only am issue with bottom freezer Whirlpool made units with the controls inside art the top.
With LG the problems are usually overheating of a component on the board causing temporary opens in the circuitry. You can't fix it because they water proof their control boards in resin.
