I don’t think she is tagged yet in that pic. She got tagged on the chest. Her hand may have been on home plate by then.

But I understand the coach’s frustration. It looked way worse live. And I’m not sure if her hand beat the tag or not.

I think if it was a ULL runner she would have been clearly out.

I think since it was a LSU runner she was clearly safe.

Honestly, your coach has every right to be upset. Would be interesting to see if they had replay and to see it from different angles. From the replays they showed on tv I don't think it would have been overturned on the replay, because you couldn't clearly see when the tag was applied. That was a call, with replay, that stands as called, either way.

We have 0 idea if that glove is touching the runner in this pic. It might be, but it may be 6 inches from touching her for all we know.

Based on that pic, I can't tell...it's too far away. In regards to your coach being ejected, If it was because of that call, I don't see the problem.

You can zoom in if you have your phone. It is pretty cut and dry.

Its actually not. You can see dirt between her white pants and the black glove. You can also see space between the glove and arm.

Do I think she was out? Most probably so. Was it "cut and dry? " I don't think so. Your coach wasn't wrong at all for getting tossed. Your fans aren't wrong for being pissed.

Lol no it’s not. You can zoom in all you want and that pic provides no evidence that the glove is touching the runner. You are seeing what you want chief.

And? Players are taught to sell calls in middle school sports.

So if the call is out, LSU wins 2-1 instead of 3-1? I didn’t watch. Was that the go ahead run or the insurance run?

In real time, it looked like she had a strong argument too. Slowed down, the play was closer than I thought at first.

I don't know if softball works exactly like baseball, but a send there in a baseball game in that situation and I would have lost my mind. Wasn't smart in my opinion, but maybe in softball that's what you do 10/10 times.

I don't like ULL but this is dumb. The guy stuck up for his team, in a situation where it probably could have gone the other way. He was hot headed yea but this is the season on the line. Any legit coach would have been tossed in that situation.

If the roles were reversed you would applaud Torina for getting tossed and sticking up for her team!

I just zoomed in with my laptop. I'm honestly trying to be impartial here, I can't tell either way from that pic. I'm not sure what you are seeing that is cut and dry.

He is seeing the ULL logo next to his name.

I don't blame him. If I was a ULL fan I would be pissed at the call as well. Its not LSU's fault that they don't have instant replay though, so even if she was clearly out, it makes not a damn bit of difference.

Even with replay, its not overturned, unless there is another angle that shows it better. If the call was out, and there was a replay, it would not be overturned from the out call either.

And now ULaLa fans here in Lafayette will talk about how LSU "stole" the game from them for years to come.

The take home point is that once again usl proved themselves inferior to LSU in every possible way when it mattered most. to all the usl fans, congrats on a great season. Please keep coming back lol
