Fund all education with vouchers and leave it at that. If local governments want to run government schools let them but the only public funding would come from the vouchers they receive.
We would see amazing changes in education if this happened. There would be people start schools to deal with "at risk children", schools for "gifted children" schools for jocks, ect.
Families deserve choice.
Our system that consists of a bunch of bureaucrats dictating where you must send you kids to school if you are to receive the public funded education you are taxed your entire life to fund is very much like the politburo models of the old USSR.

I guess I don’t really understand the voucher system very well. What’s to prevent the kids from an inner city school flooding the high achieving school in the suburb?
