Fisherman's Wharf area is awful, boring tourist schlock.
One very touristy thing is so worth doing: sunset at Seal Rocks...the Cliff House restaurant/bar overlooks Seal Rocks. Sip a drink, eat slightly overpriced but decent food while watching the sun set into the ocean....'snice.
