Transfer QB's are for NOW.

That's a big difference in the message sent to current roster QB's.

Right. Pursuing a transfer communicates an immediate, dire need. They're not going after him to say, "come on in and let's see what happens." It's more like "we need help."

You are probably correct. But I would argue that the reason we have lost over the recent years has been DL play instead of QB play.
