Would Chark be that bad of a pick at 27?

Seems he definitely fits a need. Reports I’m seeing is he can play inside and outside. In addition can be the eventual deep threat replacement for Ginn

Yes, LSU players are terrible picks.

Not terrible but if we’re going wr I would hope for someone a little more polished. Wr IS one of the spots that I feel like is more a “win now” move.

In my opinion yes. He has shown out athletically but from what I saw he doesn't catch with his hands well and I wasn't a fan of his body language when things went bad during games. He has value but at 27 I don't care for it.

NFL has Chark listed as the 58th ranked player overall (6th ranked WR)

CBS has Chark listed as the 181st ranked player overall (28th ranked WR)

These are just two opinions and not anything to take as the gospel, but Chark at 27 would definitely seem like a reach to me.

Yes.

His name sounds too much like Shart.

It would be a travesty of a pick

I'd rather have Courtland Sutton or Christian Kirk

He’s a combine warrior. Inconsistent player at LSU. NO

That would be a pure alleva move.

I would like him on the saints, but nowhere near 27. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd. Beyond the measurables, there’s some things there that scare me.

I think all you can ask is that you get a starter in the late first round. Doesn't have to be all-world, just a solid contributor. If Chark has the best chance of being that kind of guy, of all the players available at 27, then it's worth doing.

EDIT:

I missed this

I’d prefer a Split-end/Flanker type, a competent Michael Thomas fill-in should he miss time...or cost too much in a couple years
