Yeah nevermind the traces of decomposition found in her trunk, the searches about chloroform on her computer, and not reporting her missing for a month. And it’s not just that her story didn’t make sense. It was proven to be a lie. She said she gave Haylee to a babysitter that, upon investigation, didn’t exist. There have been many convictions on far less evidence. The defense did a good job at throwing so much out there that it confused the jury.

It was more of a failure from the investigation side. My ex is a detective & this case is actually used as a "what not to do" when they fly out for special training. If I recall right, the original detectives were at these classes & say it was a unique case from the start. They acknowledge having botched the case by keeping it open as a missing/kidnapping case for far too long (even after they began suspecting her).

Yes but in the classes they said it should have been treated as a homicide investigation bc they lost so many clues. Esp in the areas of evidence being contaminated. Such as the home, cars, etc.

Look, I don't know what happened with her kid. If I had to bet, I would absolutely have to bet that she did it. With that said, this video didn't really show anything.
She was sitting at the bar talking with people who were in the bar as well. That's it.

Am I the only one who thought the dad and the brother were involved in some capacity.
Every statement from Casey's story proved to be a lie.
Didn't report her child missing for a month, probably would have been more if it weren't for her mom questioning it.
The trunk clearly had major decomposition in it. There is a major difference between pizza and a body decomposing
Chloroform searches on the computer. The mom's testimony on the dog eating some plant was bullshite.
The fake baby sitter was proven to be a lie.
Where she worked (Universal) and her whereabouts on occasions were all lies
You then have the duct tape and the heart stickers.
I am not sure how much more circumstantial it could possibly be.
Personally based off her past and her priorities she liked to party and be social. She was probably tired of having to deal with the kid for a night and want to go out for drinks. She chloroformed the kid and accidentally killed her in the process. After that it was a messy coverup. not to try to get into any trouble, she kept the kids' body in the car for an extended period of time before she finally had help (either dad or brother) expose of the body not far from the house.
