That 18 year old is the best player in America and is recruiting top teir players to come to LSU. Don't forget to add that part

Which has absolutely nothing to do with who should start at QB for LSU in 2018. A full year before he could possibly, maybe, suit up for LSU.

Harris was better than etling in most every tangible way.

Come on man...You don't believe that.

Faster taller much better arm?

I like etling a lot the point is it is hard to move on from a guy as talented as Harris. That talent just didn’t show in games

I was disappointed O never gave Harris another chance after Etling took over. However, after seeing Harris play so poorly at UNC.. I was quickly over it!

He was really bad, and not even Fedora could get him to improve. If anything, he regressed.

I can confirm from 2 coaches at the scrimmage that none of the QBs were impressive. Myles did throw 2 picks as someone stated from another thread, but Narcisse and McMillian were no better.

That's been the word. This is so disappointing. It truly is and we need a true shakeup on offense and at HC if it continues. So desperately need an entire offensive culture change.. and hiring within.. simply promoting the tight ends coach is unlikely the answer.

We shall see though. This stinks.

All three QB's need to go have a talk with Coach O and make him choose a style of play. We keep hearing all of the BS about spreading the ball around and run empty set. That's a bunch of crap. I have watched 5 practices and its the same OLD offense. This is the reason O keep saying "adding the offense that caters to the strength of JM and LN. Those two old guys know nothing about running a spread offense.

This is also disappointing. Especially coming from people who have seen the practices in person.

But when fans are booing Brandon Harris running into the field because they want Etling in they want to be heard.

Fans booed Jennings being played over Harris.

When did they boo Harris for Etling? I honestly don't recall that.

There's no QB competition. It's been Myles from day one. The other 2 are not even in the same league as him.

I would guess that any qb's statistical edge at this point derives from reading the blitzes Aranda is sending and getting the pass away quickly and accurately. It seems they are trying this o-line and these QBs by fire, bringing lots of pressure.

The key for the QB is diagnosing the pressure and delivering the quick strike, while spreading the ball around to lots of different targets. Live fire snaps give one a distinct advantage in reading the defense, knowing the route tree and delivering the ball on time.

The matter has not been decided. The truth is that the light could come on for one of the clear #2s, at any time. However, the QB we want is the one who can reliably beat the pressure and carve up the coverage. It doesn't matter what his name happens to be.

I made no such assumption. You must be confusing me with someone else. I simply stated my belief that Brennan will be the starter in the season. All we can do is speculate right now. That is all I did, was speculate. I don't know how good he will be. Maybe he won't be the starter, nobody on tRant knows though.

Ya I heard LN threw some nice balls w/several drops. Imo if Brennan isn’t far and away a better passer then go with Lowell because of his running abilities. He adds a dynamic threat on the ground attack. We are stacked at Wr so it’s crucial that one of the qbs step up throwing. If Brennan can make all the throws then he is the guy we need starting. But if he’s avg at best and Ln isn’t far behind as far as throwing then he should start. Hurts threw for 60% because receivers were wide open due to the focus on his running game

The sooner a QB separates themselves and establishes themselves as the starter, the better it will be for the whole team.

Don't think these stats demonstrate that in any way but...

glad Myles had a good afternoon. Solid Line.

No one has to separate. O already knows who the starter is. So do you

One thing I've learned (Since Spring 2014) about LSU practice reports:

Never believe LSU practice statistics and never believe there's a true open QB competition.

Some of the truth will be revealed during the spring game when we see who doesn't get a fair shot with working with the 1st team offense in a game-like situation.

Another intelligent poster!

We're favoring Brennan because of a limited Sample size where he didn't even look good. That sample size is not even a games worth. Narciesse has more upside. He's the same size as Dak Prescott and a dual threat. If he shows progress in his throws he should start.

Narcisse can be thought how to throw better, Brennan will never be the athlete Narcisse is
