And the Suicide Prevention Hotline is a joke. They can
t do anything but talk. Like I need a total stranger that doesn't know me from Adam telling me I'm worth a damn. You're on the verge of suicide, that doesn't help, but the restrictions put in place on what they can and cannot say make it so they can only mutter platitudes.

Yeah.
That’s what I’d always thought.
Anyone dials that number, they are either attention seekers or desperate.
And what can they do?
Offer some trite and pithy sayings that feel doubly hollow when you are in the pit of despair?
