Congrats. Not much since, unless it's a SWAC team. Even the crowd tonight knew it was pretty much over at 3-0.

You only call a timeout to gloat when you beat a superior team.

Oookkk, but you’re whole premise is wrong. I can’t even count how many times this team has come back in the last few years

I agree. The last few years. But this team doesn't have a nucleus of a Robertson, Freeman, etc. I'm not knocking their effort or even talent. It's just lacking the leadership and heart of some of the past teams. That's not unusual, given the number of first-year players.

Fair enough. Still finding our groove. Give it a few weeks. Are we CWS caliber? Prolly not, but i think this team will surprise some folks when all is said and done.

prepare yourself for all the posters on here saying don’t worry these are meaningless midweek games.

Here one comes.

As a coach, I use the equivalent of baseballs midweek games to teach my players and experiment... Almost lime a practice at game speed. The score usually gets run up the other way, but the players learn a ton. The focus is on rhythm, teamwork, and overall play rather than the score. I try different lineups and positions.

Then we go win in tournaments. It works. There is no way to judge chemistry and give experience with just practice. The midweek games give that opportunity.

Game came down to the final at bat in case you don't understand the game. Runner on base, HR ties it up.

You have a game on Th-Sat!!! ON a TUESDAY you don’t pitch ANY of your weekend guys unless they didn’t work on the weekend from the pen and you want to give them some work.
