There will be a huge spike in CVD and prostate cancer with this medication. And yes, it's a myth that testosterone causes prostate cancer.

A bad thing? No.

Reducing testosterone is a bad thing though.

The hormonal system isn’t the same as it is for females. We don’t have cycles and the female equivalent doesn’t suppress one of the primary female hormones.

In Scruffy’s opinion, any male who takes a pill that suppresses testosterone production is a moron.

I am all for male birth control, but not one that reduces testosterone. What ever happened to that one time injection RISUG or vasalgel or whatever? Sign me up for that, but not something to reduce testosterone. If anything, I'm looking to increase that.

snowflake much?

The left is so butthurt about the well deserved "snowflake" label that they keep ham-handedly trying to throw it back at conservatives every time they disagree with them.

Yeah. Lemme know when conservatives start freaking out over assumed genders and pop tart guns. Then you will have equivalence. Not before.

Snowflake.

The results of a study were presented Sunday at the annual Endocrine Society meeting in Chicago, IL. Researchers said a proposed hormone pill, dimethandrolone undecanoate, could reduce testosterone and other hormone levels responsible for sperm production without causing any serious side effects.
It was one study done. I don't see the point of freaking out over what could happen because of one test.

With that being said, I'm curious how many people on this board have run out to the gas station to buy testosterone boosters.

I thought you aren't supposed to take testosterone when trying get pregnant.

and any man who wants to lower their testosterone should just go ahead and Jenner themselves and get it over with.

If they had one that didn't affect testosterone or anything else but just wouldn't let you get anyone pregnant then I'd for sure take it. I'm not taking anything that lowers testosteron though

This molecule has been around for over 20 years in various studies. It is an anadrogenic/anabolic steroid that also has progestogen activity. It lowers testosterone production the same way other steroids do. It has actually been studied as a testosterone replacement therapy in men with low T. The dangerous part is that it does not get aromatized to estrogen/estrogen-like molecule while eliminating testosterone, which would get partially converted to estrogen. Long term the elimination of estrogen may cause problems in bone mineralization and cholesterol.

Wife and I had this discussion as a joke last night. I told her that I would absolutely never do something like that and it was just another attempt by the powers that be to continue to emasculate men.

The powers that be and creating and promoting a system where men are afraid to be men and are punished for it. I refuse to be part of that weakness

Good. We need to combat toxic masculinity. There is no place for it in a modern civilized society. This isn't the stone ages
