Too many choices of tires and places that sell them. Anyone use Discount Tires or Tire Rack before?

Tire rack was a great deal 10 years ago but the market has leveled off and local places will usually price match.

My dad swears by Sam's for tires

Find the price you want online.

Go to a tire shop and have them match it or come damn close. Then they’ll install them for free. Win.

Discount yes, good experience, good prices. Tire rack ships to you, iirc. Then you have to pay for mount and balance, which raises the price some

Goodyear will match anyone's prices on their tires. You can buy online and schedule when you want them installed.

I swear by MacDonalds tire on Florida at Sharp. Excellent pricing I have not seen Allied beat, free rotations, free flat fixing if a plug will do it.

Discount tire is the best. I had to get a new tire a month ago due a hole in sidewalk. Best price and from drive in to drive out was only 15 minutes

I typically do research on tirerack.com, as they have a hell of a lot of info and ratings. once I do all of the comparisons and chose the tire that I want to buy, I generally just go out and get it locally. I haven't seen much savings from buying online and having them installed locally.
