And though I really hate my burb (Pearland), I'm generally 20-30 minutes from anything there.

What's wrong with Pearland? I looked at houses there years ago when I had a job offer in Houston

To clarify, I'm in new Pearland, by Towne Center. Old Pearland, the east side of town, is actually very nice.

Outside of Ronnie Killen and 1 good Italian place, it's a culinary wasteland in a city that's exploding with new good restaurants.

The traffic on the main artery that is 518/Broadway is completely ridiculous.

The amount of retail and grocery outlets available for the number of people that live there is inadequate. Our stores are always out of items, unorganized, and understaffed.

It just feels like they are growing faster than their commercial scene can keep up. I loved the League City are, but the commute to the med center was brutal.
