Y’all act like LSU is a prestigious school. It’s Louisiana bro, LSU is shite academics.
My graduating class who all scored solid jobs across the country beg to differ. Despite what this board and even our own government will tell you, LSU is bettering itself in the non athletic sphere by leaps and bounds since my first year in 2012. New dorms, new rec, new business school, new engineering school, master plan to re do the library and remove some of the uglier decrepit building is all underway. I can only speak for architecture in how useful the actual material they give you is but the equipment they’ve added over the last 6 years for us to produce our projects has been incredible. They’ve recently added a Paris program to go along with their rome program. And this is an Art school degree. I would imagine STEM departments are doing alright if the college of art and design is surviving this well in these tough times. People need to drop the attitude that all you’ll get in Louisiana is a shite degree. No shite with that kind of thinking.

^ lol.
Saying that LSU is on a totally different level regarding academics than ULL is laughable. LSU is nothing special. Is it a bad school? No... but to act like it’s a Tulane or Yale is stupid.
By the way: LA Tech has a better architecture program..

Recently graduated from LSU in bio and applying to med schools. Nobody will admit but an LSU degree looks a lot better when applying than does Southeastern, McNeese, etc

I mean I know this is the OT, but are there really people that think LSU is a not a terrible "university"?
