I have the LG OLED and also have the Sony XBRX900E. Both are great TVs and the OLED is fine in a bright room. Your wife isn't going to be watching 4k during the day anyway and you can always adjust the brightness depending on your room.

The comment about the bright room is what I wondering about... real life account. Definitely concerned about the sports deal though.
