I have two of the Sonys you are considering - one is a 55" and one a 65"...Incredible TV's. My other flat panels are all LGs not their OLED offerings, but quality LED sets. I prefer the Sony interface, and to me the picture quality is better (this is a personal thing). I think best blacks in the business, again this is my eye. I will say the same as others around here - check them both out in person. I hate the LG motion remote and the LG interface in general, but rarely have to use the actual TV remote, so not that big of a deal.

Yeh... will do that. Just hate looking at them at a place like Best Buy... bright arse lights in the store etc...

I mainly watch sports... football, baseball and soccer. Also watch a good bit of Netflix and Amazon prime stuff and occasional movies. Both TVs rate really well on all those... the edge in blacks apparently goes to OLED (b/c they literally turn off the black areas from what I read). And they are supposed to be close on sports with a slight edge to OLED again... just what I’ve read. My TVs are old... anything will be an upgrade on that end.
