Is Hiring Ensminger a Fireable Offense?

I'd say yes. Miles was fired (and Orgeron hired) specifically for perpetually poor offense.
Orgeron's solution to the offense is to chase away someone who potentially could fix the problem (Canada) in favor of someone whose track record indicates almost no hope of fixing the problem (Ensminger).
That outlandish (and damaging) a decision should be a fireable offense.

No, but paying him 14% above market average when the candidate has no other comparable offers is a fireable offense.

The fireable offense should not be the hire. It's saying he will let his coaches coach and then not letting him. There is no way any high profile OC would want to come to LSU after what took place this year.
