The west coast offense is NOT the usc offense that Orgeron loves so much. Bill Walsh’s WC is a crap load of timing routes and WR reads that require a super accurate QB and WRs to be on the same page at all times. There is quite literally no CFB team in the country that runs it and very few NFL teams use any of it besides the Bellichick coaching tree (McDaniel/O’Brien), Andy Reid and McCarthy at GB. It has evolved in the NFL into the “dink and dunk” offense with bombs. A true WC is pass to set up the run

If CEO thinks SE can implement the stripped down version of the WC that Kiffin/Sark used for the USC offense this will fall apart faster than we can even dream of. Who is going to teach SE that offense so that he can teach it at LSU? If you are right this could be worse than I thought

I would pay money to watch 60yr old SE teach 3/5/7 step Drop techniques to Narcisse

I think so if you mean the WCO... I did catch one post of yours about trying to catch leaked info... interesting and I'm curious how the players feel about this and correct me if I'm wrong but a true WCO usually uses smaller line than what we have just brought in?

If this happens then this current administration has fully and effectively killed the joy I once took in supporting LSU Football.

I have felt this way about watching LSU offensive football for years. This season I did not attend a single game and found myself switching over to more exciting games during the LSU games. I was in Vegas watching the Troy game and found myself laughing at LSU. I still love and support LSU football, but it gets harder every year.

Wikipedia classifies Kiffens Bama offense as west coast if you look under the section that says colleges that run the system on the west coast page. Not saying it’s right but I’m sure it’s Kiffens offense he wants.

Also includes Auburn 2004-2007 and Ensiminger was a coach on that team. He became OC in 08. The 08 team is not included.

I wish I knew why it was so difficult to hire an offensive coordinator at LSU. I really do. Other teams make it seem so effortless.

WTF?

I’m not very good at subtle hints I guess. It’s not important anyway. It’ll be announced tomorrow and I’ll be back to my norm of not knowing shite like everyone else on here.

And yet when Saban hired Kiffin the narrative was Lane adapting to the power run spread to develop Hurts

Bama doesn’t do anything remotely WC with Kiffin or Daboll. Zone read is not remotely WC. Think Tom Brady

If CEO said power spread with SE I can see that somewhat with narcisse at QB but that eliminates Brennan. If they go to Cameron’s pro style then Brennan is the guy and narcisse is odd man out unless his passing accuracy improves tremendously. There was a guy posted he was at the bowl game watching warmups and he commented about how inaccurate Narcisse was doing the warmup drills.

Of course it will be announced tomorrow, it will get put on the back burner because of the Nat Champ game. Hopefully the media roasts LSU.

This cant possibly be true. If so, I'll be disappointed they couldn't find a top notch OC to hire... who knows, guess we have to wait and see if this sauce is right
