People get divorced all the time and kids turn out alright. There are also kids from completely normal families that end up struggling through life. shite happens

Why do people always post things like this when someone posts overall statistics? I find the statistics to be interesting. Of course there will be plenty of people on both sides that end up better/worse than others. However, OVERALL they are at a disadvantage, just like kids without a father in their life.

Exactly. We all know there are kids who are just fine. But I can tell you the kids from happily divorced families are not as well off as kids from happily married families. My parents were divorced and it wasn’t bad but it set us back financially, it is a waste of time having to do things twice...all kinds of negatives even though overall we are ok. Like others have said it was the right thing for my parents to get divorced but it didn’t mean we are as well off as other kids. Divorce is expensive and it is a huge waste of time.

Divorce is a sin and is child abuse. I see a bunch of rationalizing from POS people in this thread.
