I think O still feels like he owes SE for helping him get him the job. Plus, to SE's credit, he's done really well recruiting lately.

This. He’s trying to take care of his boy.
Problem is, no OC worrh his salt is going to share the title with someone else.

No denying that Steve is a true Tiger, a very good recruiter and an asset to the staff and program. He is just not cut out as a long term solution at OC. Nothing personal against him at all. We need a younger and more aggressive OC who understands modern offenses and how defenses in the current age disguise themselves.
