You're right. Its a risk but I still would have gone for it. The worst thing that could happen is you dont get it and ND is at the 1-inch line of their own endzone and youre likely going to overtime.

Should of went for it.
If we were down 1 or 2 def kick it to take the lead.
And if it didn't work they gotta go 70yds with 2 min and no timeouts just to kick a FG.
Game would of gone to overtime more than likely.

going for it is always the right call unless there was less than 30 seconds on the clock

our def player went for the ball to be a hero, missed(did not rip it) it and they scored.

he didnt go for shite. the guy pushed him and the first time they touch when the wr has the ball, he runs into DJ's back. no need to shite on our all american db that has been one of our best open field tacklers since arriving on campus.

here he is trying to recover from being pushed

It's much worse than that. I didn't even realize it at first but Richmomma and I were actually agreeing on the call being the correct one.

I am going to take a shower as soon as I get home.

Such a snowflake. Just because I wasn't a fan of your hero doesn't mean I approve of everything O does.

Your DC blows it and gets a 70% pay increase.

Well in all honesty it wasn't the DC it was the DB's that shite the bed on that play.

Confused. So are you good with Coach Corndog as LSU HC?

Who cares how the fans react? He should only care than he made the percentage play. You make the percentage play every time and live with the results. He didn't.
i thoroughly disagree. If all a head coach does is make the "percentage play" then that discounts all the nuances and feel that help drive a HC's decisions at critical times in the game.

Going with the "percentage play" is just being safe and not wanting to get roasted by the fans and media for a "non-percentage play."

Sometimes, the absolutely WRONG decision is to go with the percentage play.

Pro Football Focus grades from the bowl game for the offense show we had very poor run blocking for the game.
How did they grade the FG kicking?

The best call in this game was to go for it. You do remember we missed a field goal from the 6 yard line? With the unpredictable field goal kicking and the amount of time left on the clock, going for the TD was a no brainer in this case. I can’t say what the best play call on 4th down would have been, but I can assure you that if we didn’t make it, then it was the wrong call per the Rant and Canada should be let go.
