If unplugging the switch Ave the window still goes down, then it's the motor.
But a failing motor won't go up or down. Failing window actuator will causeit to jam up going down or up and make it fall on it's on, not mechanically.
If it's going down under power then it's the switch, if it fails with no power it's the actuator and many times you reuse the old motor.
