Listen here. This has nothing to do with Trump or his voters.
This has to do with the left’s innate ability to frick up every social agenda it touches. Same thing that’s going on with the #metoo and now Al Franken scandals
I know for people that spend their entire lives on this forum it may seem like it, but there is a whole complex world outside of the Trump bubble and the narratives getting spinned for you on talk radio and Fox.
The NFL has peaked, and it’s decline and eventual stabilization point will be brought on by multiple causations that have been in play since before Trump decided to play white identity politics and carry over his petty NFL grievances from his failed league and unable to own up to the fact of paying Doug Flutie more than any other quarterback in any league.
As others pointed out, you cherry picking to make your case only weakens your legitimacy on commentating on this topic.
As to backfiring, really too early to tell tbh. I never thought it was the most effective form of that protest or the best strategy, but bus sit ins were historically unpopular as well. So was MLK and most of his marches early on. That’s the thing with protests, if everyone was already on board and supporting, it would just be called pandering or a political rally.

Ok so yall decide to post pictures of these teams' stadiums
Broncos 3-7
Browns 0-10
Giants 2-8
Dolphins 4-6
Packers 5-5 (lost their franchise QB)
quote:
OK, so you posted the records of these teams AFTER the games were played?
Broncos were 4-6 and controlled their own playoff destiny in a must-win game. Same for Dolphins (were 4-5) and the Packers were 5-4.
You try to prove disingenuousness but then turn around and use it yourself. Fail.
You are being rather disingenuous if you believed the Broncos w/ Osweiler, and the Dolphins with Cutler/Moore are serious threats to make the playoffs.

This is utter horseshite. Every last bit of it.
You are doing what your ilk does best. Blaming the other side for the shitstorm you created.
And you created it FIRST with your BLM identity politics.

the broncos were 3-6 sunday morning, not 4-6. lost 6 of the last 7, and the past 5 games. we are terrible. not like ‘lost some close games we could have won’, but like real life terrible. busted plays and miscues all day long
i went yesterday, we were prized some club level seats. between denver and cinci, it was some bush league football. still had a blast, drank a few beers, had some brisket and brats. nobody seemed to miss the melty trumpkin sjw’s
ps - it was damn near 70 yesterday. combine that with the worst team we’ve trotted out in a decade and there are going to be empty seats. best of luck with your boycott though

To be fair most of those teams stadiums you posted are garbage this year
I agree that the anecdotal isn't terribly useful.
So. I brought in actual numbers.
And no one seems interested
Facts and logic aren't allowed around these parts - It's the Poli board, baby.

And yet you aren’t actually addressing any of the points made. Just noting it doesn’t allign with your narrative so you are being sure to verbalize your internal mental hissy fit.

OK that is really not indicative . The Cleveland Browns suck so bad that having anyone in the stands should make you question their level of masochism.
Dome was rocking yesterday very few empty seats....very few

What if you're older than 30 and not a snowflake, and you love your country enough to allow everyone to have freedom of speech?
Oh... I see. You think this is just about flag kneeling. This is a problem that has been brewing and the flag kneeling stuff finally brought it to a boil over.
I went to school and work for a living. We have 2 businesses and some weeks I put in 80 hours. I guess it just gets tiring hearing guys making millions per year talk about being treated like slaves and comparing themselves to slaves. Had enough of people sitting out because they wanted to renegotiate yet another contract in year 2 of a 5 year deal. You know... this kind of shite. On top of all of this, cities get held hostage and we end up using taxpayer dollars to build new stadiums for a billion dollar business. You really can't make this stuff up.
Colin K with police pigs on the socks and the kneeling for the national anthem really wasn't the last straw for me. It was the NFL letting them get away with it when they want to... and have been... controlling every single thing that players do, say, act, and wear on the field. Been doing this for decades but not now...
You are welcome to love these guys all you want to. No one is stopping you and no one is asking you to stop. Keep watching and contributing money to them. If you enjoy it that's your business.

And someone yesterday wanted to tell me Trump wasn’t pandering to white racial resentment....I give you exhibit A.

Let’s be honest here, if you aren’t getting attention for your protest you aren’t doing it right.
Attention whoring is kind of hand in hand with protesting. Not many successful protests make progress by performing your protest in a dark room and away from outside eyes.

Wow... Not only do you not know a paragraph from a sentence... but you don't seem to know what a boycott is. I certainly didn't mention a boycott. I said there are a lot of other things to do in this country and world.
JFC - a boycott is something you do T E M P O R A R I L Y. You BOYCOTT until they change whatever it is that you don't like. Then you go back to whatever you were previously doing. I'm not advocating a boycott.
I'm not sure you know what you think you know. Good lawd.
No one is stopping you from holding the NFL nut sack. By all means... caress away.
Edit... if you count the smiley face this was a 5 paragraph response to your pointed and irrefutable post.

That really has nothing to do with my point, but I’ll play along.
Just think how silly this comes off. No, I’m sure they were doing it because they thought it would make them universally popular, get sitcom roles, and sell more merchandise. Or whatever alternative theory the right wing media has cooked up.
The easy thing to do in life is follow the crowd. Doubly so when a microscope is on you. Every single one of those players knew their protest would gain scorn, that’s the thing with protests, if they were 100% popular we wouldn’t call them protests. We have other words for that. It’s impossible to know the mind of every single protestor, and foolish to think you can broad brush the collective movement with a few disparaging hot takes. You can argue the merits of their stance against the current policies of the criminal justice system and racial inequality as they claim to experience it, or the tactics used to bring attention to it, but I think it’s beyond silly to assume the feelings of all the protestors are insincere.
