It has been on a decline for decades. Along comes Katrina, an opportunity to reinvent, and BOOM....the descent into the abyss continues unabated. Place is a Grade A DUMP

I think most would say the city is better now than it's been in at least 30 years.
Of course things should be better and the city fails at so much, but let's be honest with where it is.

I have no idea what you are talking about. What’s worse about New Orleans since Katrina:
CBD hasn’t 6000 new condos and apartments which has increased retail and other amenities.
Pretty much every major artery I travel has been or is being renovated
The value of my house has increased 150%
The economy is more diversified and incomes have increase.
Crime still sucks is about the only downside I can think of but I’ve never been the victim of crime.
Please educate me on the decline
