Hard to judge that.
Especially when the most famous people in the country have vastly different values than the regular folks.
I would say our core values used to be steeped in individual liberty, and a Judeo-Christian belief system that starts with the family. Now, our values are being muddied in secularism which is hurting us.

A Christian must love their spouse more than their kids according to the Bible.
American is not a Christian nation because love for kids is a greater value than love for spouse in this country.
Since America is not a Christian nation the food is not halal and Muslims are sinning every time they eat food from an American grocery store.
Of course the Muslims leaders will just pass a special exemptions for Muslims in America saying that the gains of taking over the Country of the infidel Americans is too important so they are excused and it is not a sin to eat American food. So declaring America is not a Christian nation will not get rid of Muslims here.
