I think classical liberals secretly favor the republicans more than they will ever admit.
They see the craziness that has been allowed to take over their party.
A perfect example of what I’m talking about:
A few weeks ago someone posted a thread with a link in which some prog sjw wrote that Allen fricking Dershowitz was a right winger.

Reagan and to a degree Trump were able to win them over, but it doesn't stay permanent.
