@brianmctaggart Astros talked about how loud it was at Yankee Stadium: "New York is no joke," Keuchel said. "This is a wild place to play," Springer said. quote: Correa: "It was crazy. I never heard anything as loud as it was yesterday when Gary hit that double. Loudest I've ever been part of."

This is simply an admission that the stage was too big for them. I admire them for at least being honest, but it's obviously something that they have to adjust to and move past. This team will never be successful if they can't play their game with an intimidating crowd on them.

Like Shane said, they're playing super tight and pressing. It's affecting their AB's. A new approach is needed by most. The Yankees are attacking most of our hitters early in the count with hittable pitches to get ahead. Make the adjustment. Stop trying to pull outer half pitches and rolling over on weak ground balls. Drive the ball the other way. Make the adjustment. The thing is, these aren't even difficult things to correct.

It's time to make Yankee stadium sound like a preschool, and make Minute Maid as loud as it can get. Blow the roof off the MFer! You've got homefield, USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little light in the darkness...

What's Wrong With Houston's Offense?

quote:

While no one like to use the term “bad luck” for a struggling offense since it feels like an excuse, the reality is that Astros hitters aren’t struggling as much as their offensive numbers would have you believe. Unfortunately for them, they just haven’t gotten anything out of the balls they’ve hit well yet.

quote:

No, that’s not a copy-and-paste error in the results column. The Astros have hit six barreled balls in this series, and all six of them have been caught in deep center field by Aaron Hicks.

quote:

In the ALDS, the Astros hit 10 balls classified as barrels. On those 10 batted balls, they went 10 for 10 with a single, two doubles, and seven home runs. In the ALDS, their wOBA on barreled balls was 1.740; in the ALCS, it’s .000.

Hopefully they start falling, but man this shite is frustrating to watch

Especially AJ's "Well we made adjustments, we're just not sticking to them"

Well yeah, we keep trying to hit a HR that will win the series every swing

Hey, on the bright side, the home team hasn't lost a game this series.

At least Houston has that going for them...

At least they're honest, but it's definitely not a good thing saying you were intimidated by the home crowd.s, like the Cubs last year, don't worry about stuff like that. You're a great team. And if you are, you should be able to play that way no matter if you're at home or on the road. I get that New York's crowd is loud, but that should not ever get to you. I think it's just an easy excuse for them to use to say why they're struggling mightily.

Are vendors selling tickets outside Minute Maid?

Going to Game 6, wanting to get tickets but hoping to not get screwed by stubhub.

A-1 Tickets in Houston is outrageously high. Who the hell is dumb enough to buy from them when you can get the same ticket for half the price on stubhub, ticketcity or vivid?
