I really like the Colorado. It gets 22/27. (I don't have a lead foot.) So far good on reliability, just like the Silverado I drove 12 years that my son still drives.

Most of my driving is commuting 24 miles into NOLA CBD. It is easier to park in a downtown garage than a full size.

It can haul everything I need to haul to deer camp.

I have towed right up to the 7000# max towing a tractor. I didn't enjoy that. The truck was very slow and only got about 14mpg that day. It tows a 2000# bayboat like it's not there.

The lack of width in the bed along with the Bakflip cover makes it less usefull for helping people move. I like that!

I've taken trips with 4 adults and plenty luggage and equipment in the bed. I've had 5 passengers driving around town. Interior rides about like a midsize SUV.

It does everything I need a vehicle to do and would be OK for a younger family, but I am glad I had the larger Silverado when my kids were still home.
