Both Ben Simmons and Fournette were over-hyped by the AD and TD as individual players ... "generational" talent blah blah blah

Fournette probably was the best player to play for LSU. Does that mean he should carry the ball 30 times every single game? No.

Simmons will most likely be an all star in the NBA. Did we really need the "He's Coming" billboards? Reality show? no.

It's almost a religious thing. People treated Pete Maravich like he was Elvis. Maravich probably deserved it because outside of Kentucky - no player in the SEC had ever been nearly that good before. But Fournette, Simmons? Way overblown. Phenomenal players - great to watch, but they were both over-hyped. Fournette was great but Bo Jackson was better, played better in big games. Hershel Walker might have been better too.

At some point you just have to chill with all the hype and let the players play.

Wtf Fournette and Simmons in the same sentence. Fournette showed his talent and bled purple and gold. Simmons was overhyped and LSU were just letters on his jersey. Fournette will be a star and Simmons a flop in their professional careers.

LF carried the ball over 25 times only nine times in 32 games as a Tiger, with only two of those going for 30, both wins btw.

In fact, LF only had 20 carries in 14 games, less than half, with LSU going 11-3 in those games.

So, I guess what I'm saying is...
