That just doesn't make sense. How would a team make the playoffs if they cain't make their conference championship game, and lose to the team that won the championship game? I never heard of such silliness.

Last year PSU was conference champ and beat OSU in the regular season. 11-1 OSU made the playoff, not 11-2 Penn State.
LSU could make it, but they will need help.
