I want to replace all of my chrome on my truck and I was wondering about just getting them painted instead of buying new ones. Would a body shop do this? Can they remove chrome from plastic and reprint? Any ideas on approx cost?

You could get it wrapped in vinyl or plasti-dip it. I dipped my emblems, pretty easily.

I had it done on my truck, I bought an XL model front and rear bumpers($350) then had it painted and the painter scuffed and painted over my chrome grill. I then sold my chrome bumpers for $400, painter charged me $700, and I uninstalled/reinstalled everything. It's held up well in the ~5 years since I've had it done with the exceptions of a couple rock chips. Before committing to paint though see about having the parts vinyl wrapped instead.
