Anyone ever used a Visa gift card on travel sites such as Expedia. I know people hate Expedia but I have a shite ton of points saved up and have a $250 Vanilla Visa.. the total costs of the stay would be more than $250 but I’m wondering if anyone has experience or tips for how to get it to work. So far Expedia hasnt accepted it. Its not the end of the world to go directly through the hotel but I would like to save another $50 with my points as well..

Why do you need to use the $250 Vanilla Visa on Expedia? Money is fungible. It doesn't matter if you use your CC on Expedia for $250 and the Vanilla on dinner while on vacation or vice versa.

Vanilla Visa made me think of manufactured spending. Anyone still doing it?

I found that manufactured spend has gotten really difficult. I haven't done any in probably close to 2 years.

I was chugging along during the Vanilla Reload and Bluebird days.

Wish I would have been in the game during the Sacajawea/US Mint days...
