I appreciate their right to do it as it's their league, but I'm never a fan of forcing anyone to do anything.
The fact that this option is having to be discussed is pathetic

They have every right to quit and find another job.

Players aren't forced to do anything. If they don't like their employers policies, they can quit. Simple as that. Let's see how many of them give up their million dollar salaries to fight "oppression".

I get what you're saying but nobody is "forcing" them to play NFL football. There are very few human beings who aren't forced to do something they don't love with respect to their jobs.
Agreed. But like any other company they're going to look out for their bottom line.

Like wear a tie at work?
If you get paid to go to work, you go to work and you do it under the conditions your bosses set.
Everybody has to live by this agreement - as long as what your boss is doing isn't illegal or the government isn't forcing you to do anything. NFL isn't the government...it's a private business. I think the whole anthem bit should be scrapped at most sporting events and reserved for special occassions but if they are going to keep doing it all the time - it's not wrong for the owners to make a rule that doesn't distract from the game.

Every single employer on the planet forces their employees to do things.
That's sort of how it works.
If you don't like an employer's policies then quit.

Every job in the history of the world forces people to do these if they want to remain employed.

Well employers have forced employees to do shite since the beginning of time.

You have a dress code at work?
Assignments you have to complete?
Time you have to be there?
You see, when you have a job, you do what your employer says or you find a different job.
