I can make a good case for owning a 22.

That is what I let my grandkids shoot. Lets them handle the heft of a firearm without the recoil and hearing impact that firing a higher caliber weapon several hundred times would create.

I feel that it is necessary that they (all 4) have had a weapon Pistol and rifle in their hands and know how to shoot it.

If they fire my 22LR pistol (on a 45 frame) a couple of hundred times, They handle the 45 just fine.

All of them can shoot and have demonstrated that many times, on a range with good supervision. We shoot silhouettes and they know where the heart is located. My 8th grade granddaughter (youngest of the group) is a better open sight shot than me.

Have no idea if they will ever need that knowledge, but all of them (2 boys and 2 girls) know they can shoot.

Cute - Oldest granddaughter is a senior in high school, dating some hotshot jock punk over in central Louisiana. I videoed her shooting my 45 and emailed it to him, said "she can knock you down 10/10 times from 15 feet with no problem and I can do the same from 40 feet." She is cute - reposted it on Instagram with my comments attached.

No, they don't. A .22 and .45 are not at all similar in weight, recoil, etc, even on the same frame.

You seem like a real winner. Did you harass him about the fancy shape and color of his booksack?

I'll never understand why some of you think that shite is normal. I love weapons, but if someone sent that shite to me I'd end that crap in a second. I don't want to deal with weird arse overprotective family members.
