Has anyone heard of the benefits of infrared heat for detoxing and helping with sore muscles?

I use an infrared sauna after most of my workouts. I don't know the exact science, but I always feel amazing afterwards. I think the infrared waves penetrate deep into the muscles. You will sweat more than you knew was possible

Yes, it is very therapeutic and healing. It helps with sore muscles and it detoxes you!

I listened to a podcast last week that was talking about the cardio benefits of hitting the sauna for 30 min after a workout. Supposed to give an EPO effect and increase red blood cells.

Where are you getting these infrared treatments?

I inherited one when my parents moved into a smaller home. They bought it at Costco for around $1000 I think and used it for the apparent heart benefits. It costs peanuts to run and takes up about a 3' x 5' corner in my workout room. I love it. Start it up during my workout, hop in once it's heated up (130-140 degrees), sweat my arse off for another 30 minutes, take an ice shower after getting out, and usually in a coma about 10 minutes later. It's a soothing heat, I can't stand the stuffiness of wet saunas at the gym

Easy to assemble, took about an hour. I think the single person models are cheaper, this is a double. The black panels are where the IR energy comes out. I bring a magazine or book in and it doesn't get all swampy like a wet sauna. Also normally throw on a podcast. Replaced my normal winddown routine before bed by lounging in this and love it. But I'm also weird and don't like to workout until right before bed

I've used one and have enjoyed it. Not sure of the science behind it or if all this crap I'm reading on it is legit, but I do feel great.
