Is it illegal to leave your dog in a car if you leave the windows cracked and the Motor/AC running ?

I did this at Walmart and some ole bitty had a melt down, she was calling the cops when I told her what a dumb C%%T she was and drove off with my finger waving.

I just had to run in for 2 items. (5 minutes at most)

Frick People, mind your own damn business.

Who cares what she thinks. Also leave your dog at home.

Need more info. Does your dog have a drivers license? Any prior DUIs?

Just risky hoping that today isn’t the day something messes up with your car and the engine or ac cuts out.

Completely OT but it drives me nuts to see women driving with their stupid ugly lap dogs sitting on them with their heads out of the window...

(A) nobody gives a frick about your stupid ugly arse dog and

(B) y’all have enough trouble driving as it is, why put a moving, barking distraction right on your lap??

You apparently live in North Texas. That means you've probably heard, along with a slew of your neighbors, about all the kids that die in North Texas every year after being left in a car. That's why people are so crazy about the issue.

If you want to keep the original windows in your vehicle, don't leave your dog in the car.

Cop probably would've shot the dog.

I remember the day when you could leave the window down with the dog and two kids in it and go in the store for 10 minutes and all three would still be alive where I left them.

Sad how times have changed huh?

If I walked by and saw a dog in the car, but the car was running, I would probably just continue on. I might look down to see water dripping out to be sure the AC was on.
