Crap argument. Our forefathers didn't consider the damage that an 18 wheeler could do to a crowd, or the power of the internet, either. Nobody is suggesting the 1st Amendment needs modified or abolished.

Its only a crap argument if you accept that this problem is not fixable. People are not going to give up their guns and insanity isn't going to decrease. If you have a solution, I'd like to hear it. Just accept that this is who we are as a nation.
You are free to put a loaded gun on your coffee table in front of your 2 year old, which we both agree is irresponsible and wreckless behavior. But a 2 year old cannot go into a store and buy guns. A crazy person can and apparently does it daily. We do not have a solution for this. I'm ok with the status quo,however because it is what happens in a free country and we're too far down the road in terms of gun ownership.
