The difference is those Red Sox players had never left their countries or played for org. Maitan has played a season of A ball in the US.
The more I think about it the less I think they’ll allow Maitan to double dip here.

Looks like at least 2 of the Red Sox guys were playing organized ball and pulled.
Although I thought I read somewhere that the investigation into Maitan initially was thought to reveal nothing of note.
